About this Council

The Finance Council acts as a consultative body assisting the Pastor in the administration of the finances and care of the property of the parish. The Council formulates the financial policies of our parish, works to develop and monitor the budget, and sets policies for the care of the parish's buildings and property.

The Finance Council monitors the Scrip program, the Endowment Trust, and the regular operating budget of nearly one million dollars, and it oversees the care of the parish property. Their advice is indispensable to a well-run parish.

The Pastor appoints members for a two-year term according to the norms established by the Diocese.

Endowment Trust Fund

In 1988 our parish established the Blessed Sacrament Parish Endowment Trust to provide a source of financial support in addition to envelope giving. It exists in perpetuity.

The following gifts are accepted by the Endowment Trust:

  • Cash, stock, bonds, real estate, and life insurance

Gifts may be made via:

  • Present transfer – immediate investments into the trust

  • Deferred transfer through use of annuity trust, uni-trusts, lead trusts, or retained life interest

  • Life insurance transfers

  • Gifts by Last Will and Testament

The Trustees are recognized as experienced and committed members of our parish. The Parish Endowment Trust utilizes the expertise of Trust Point for the investment of the Endowment Trust.
