Sacred Worship

Sacred Worship

Our Sacred Worship Committee assists the Parish Pastoral Council in fostering, first and foremost, the liturgical life of the parish as celebrated in the sacraments and other rites of the church with special attention to the sick and isolated in the parish. Also of concern are the devotional aspects of the parish's life of prayer.

Ministries include: Lectors, ushers, Master of Ceremonies, servers, Eucharistic ministers, petition readers, gift bearers, and sacristan, along with general church care and perpetual adoration in the adoration chapel.

Contact Pauline Connell at 782-2953 ext. 3 for more information on how you can help with these ministries.

Music Ministries

Adult Choir: The Adult Choir sings every other Sunday from September through May at the 10am Mass and for special liturgical events and celebrations. Practices are held on Thursdays from 7-8pm. The choir is open to everyone high school age and older who loves to sing. Music reading is not a requirement. Contact Pauline Connell to sign up.

Cantors: Our talented volunteer cantors help lead us in prayer and song. They are a generous and dedicated group of musicians who give of their time to minister in a special way. To volunteer and receive training, contact Pauline Connell.

Instrumentalists: Anyone who plays an instrument and wishes to help enhance our liturgies should contact Pauline Connell.

8am Mass Multi-Generational Choir: We are blessed to have a group of people who enjoy singing and playing instruments together at Mass each Sunday at 8am. Families are encouraged to join us.

Parish Children's Choir: Children who are in grade school may join our Children's Choir. We sing at the 10am Mass about every other week and practice the Saturday before from 9:30am-10:15am. Watch the bulletin for schedule times. Pauline Connell directs this choir and Jennifer Kulzer is the accompanist.

Teen Choir: Michelle Skemp directs our newly-formed Teen Choir. The group sings at the 10am Mass about once a month. Any teen who sings or plays an instrument may join this group. Contact Michelle Skemp at 397-6251 for more information.

St. Cecilia Funeral Choir: Our parish's St. Cecilia Choir performs a valuable service to parish families by singing at funeral liturgies and occasionally at Sunday Masses. Visitors to Blessed Sacrament are impressed and laudatory of this choir. This choir is perfect for people who enjoy singing but cannot meet the demand of regular practices or performance schedules.
